As a Performance Coach at Pillar Wellbeing, you will play a key role in delivering personalized, science-backed coaching to discerning individuals and groups. You’ll use a holistic approach that considers physical, mental, and emotional aspects of performance, while tailoring strategies to each client’s unique context and goals. This role is ideal for an ambitious coach who thrives on creating transformational change through evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct 1:1 and group coaching sessions focused on optimizing physical performance, recovery, mindset, and lifestyle behaviours, ensuring that all sessions are well considered and prepared in advance.
Develop and implement individualized performance plans that address fitness, sleep, stress management, and goal attainment.
Deliver high quality Personal Wellbeing Assessments in line with Pillar’s clinical and procedural protocols.
Use data (e.g., biometric tracking, wellbeing assessments) to monitor progress and adapt coaching strategies.
Collaborate with other specialists (e.g., psychologists, physiologists, nutritionists) within Pillar’s multidisciplinary team to support best outcomes for each client.
Educate clients on sustainable behaviour change techniques and performance psychology principles.
Lead workshops, webinars, or seminars on topics such as resilience, recovery, mindset, and peak performance.
Take group classes based on your expertise and experience.
Monitor and proactively support clients generally on the exercise floor and ensure that the space is appropriately provisioned and presented.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in alignment with organizational policies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of coaching tools, systems, and frameworks used at Pillar Wellbeing.
Team members will be required to ensure that appropriate Health and Safety checks are performed and the Centre and services are operated in line with the Company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures. Each staff member is responsible at all times for their own Health and Safety and that of others in the Organisation, including visitors.

To seek feedback from members as to their experience and record these findings to support the ongoing development of the service.
To address clients’ complaints in an empathetic, professional and timely fashion in line with the Company’s policy.
To work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver services effectively and efficiently.
To be of smart appearance and ensure appropriate behaviour with colleagues and members.
To ensure the Company’s objectives and values are embedded in every day routine.
To perform any other duties that are reasonably requested by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Level 3 Personal training qualification.
Evidence of additional CPD each year since qualifying.
3 years personal training experience in comparable environments.
2 years teaching classes.
Ideally Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Sports Science, Performance Coaching, Psychology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of applied physiology, behaviour change, performance psychology, and recovery science.
Experience working with wearable technology and digital tools to inform coaching is a plus.

You will create exceptional experiences always tailored to the unique needs of our clientele. This freelance engagement is suited to an ambitious and passionate instructor who thrives on elevating group fitness into transformational wellbeing experiences, aligned with Pillar’s integrated ecosystem of movement, recovery, nutrition, and social connection.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and inclusive class experiences tailored to members’ abilities, preferences, and wellbeing goals.
Work collaboratively with Performance Coaches and the wider multidisciplinary team to support personalised wellbeing journeys.
Inspire, motivate and connect with members to foster community and long-term engagement.
Contribute to the ongoing development of class programming in line with Pillar’s evidence-based philosophy.
Maintain knowledge of emerging trends relevant to group training delivery.
Always ensure a safe and professional environment, following Pillar’s policies and standards.

Qualifications & Experience
Recognised fitness industry qualification (REPs/CIMSPA Level 2/3 or international equivalent).
Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching group exercise classes in premium, luxury, or high-performance environments.
Evidence of CPD and commitment to continuous learning.
Understanding of safe and effective exercise programming for diverse populations.
Desirable: Experience across multiple modalities
