Pillar is constructed around the three pillars of human wellbeing - Movement, Nourishment and Recovery. Born out of a need for the modern high performing individual to have their wellness needs consistently met wherever they happen to be on the planet. Pillar spans the residential sector, luxury hospitality industry, corporate wellness space and the digital world. The core beliefs of Pillar are preventative health and personal optimisation. Taking a data led approach to both, Pillar is able to effectively track health and performance-based metrics to ensure clients, members and partners are moving effectively and efficiently towards a place of greater health and happiness. Pillar venues encompass innovative design that has been ergonomically structured to positively impact the mental, physical and emotional condition. Members and residents can go there to train, eat, learn, grow, work and socialise. The unparalleled facilities will help them excel on their chosen life path.


Movement

A world-class personal fitness facility. The team, led by Harry Jameson, has been hand-picked from the finest coaches in that region. Their skillset covers all disciplines within fitness, sports and conditioning. Pillar will provide the highest quality one-to-one training sessions for members in the marketplace. Pillar will train each member of the fitness team to upskill the fitness staff into Pillar wellness practitioners, capable of meeting the standards required and expected. Pillar trainers also deliver a variety of complimentary classes, including yoga, boxing and Pilates to guests. Our run clubs will give members a unique and invigorating way to enjoy the natural beauty of the Yorkshire countryside. The Pillar Studio spaces will be dedicated to delivering the finest boutique fitness classes across multiple disciplines.

Recovery

Pillar’s multidisciplinary recovery centre is a collection of bespoke experiences and therapies. It also accommodates a broader range of services including nutritional consultations, physiotherapy, talking therapies & osteopathy. The international ‘medi-spa’ model that is used with great success across Europe has been adopted and enhanced by Pillar’s Spa & Recovery Space with its treatments and advice from practitioners hand-picked from the very best in the world. Combining ancient practices with cutting-edge science, the standard of services will surpass anything else in the world. The design utilises the wet spaces so that members’ spa experience is the finest whilst not infringing on the hotel guest experience. For longevity and disease prevention, members can avail themselves of the very latest in fixed recovery facilities such as cryotherapy and inferred sauna.

Nourishment

Pillar’s objective is to create a restaurant, cafe and room service that is more than just healthy and delicious. Jason Atherton is Culinary Director at Pillar Kitchen and is responsible for menu creation across all Pillar Kitchen sites.

Food, much like workouts, can be tailored to benefit individuals by focusing directly on their specific needs. Carbohydrate levels, protein levels, vitamin and mineral levels will be a prime consideration, as will gut health, by way of a range of in-house ferments in food and drinks. The main menu will specialise in local-inspired dishes which are rich in herbs, vegetables and grains.
